Just two more practices before I leave for USMS LCM Nationals. I still wanted to crank it out a bit today, but take more rest between efforts.
WARMUP: 400
Four EZ rounds of 25 Breast kick and 75 Backstroke
MAIN SET:
150 with pull buoy, alternating Breast kick on back and Breast sculling or Breast
1 X Broken 200 (4 X 50 Breast on :55 sendoff or approx. :12 seconds rest). Focus was EYES DOWN on the turns and EZ, fast cadence. Took 9 strokes on most lengths. (Times were 43…43…43…42.)
150 with pull buoy, alternating as on above 150
1 X 100 Breast. Focus on EYES DOWN on the turns and getting hands slightly over the water on the recovery. Took 10 strokes on each length. (Times was 1:25.)
100 Breast kick with board — 14 kicks…13…12…11 by 15. Then 50 EZ backstroke.
1 X 100 Breast. Same focus as above. Took 9 – 10 – 10 – 10 strokes. (Times was 1:24.)
150 with fins, alternating 25 Head-Lead Body Dolphin on Stomach/ 25 on Back
1 X 50 Breast. 1o strokes per length. (Time was :40.)
150 with fins, as above
1 X 50 Breast. 10 – 11 strokes. (Time was :39.)
100 Breast kick with board — 14-13-12-11 kicks per length by 15. Then 50 EZ Free.
4 X 25 Breast on :45 sendoff. Focus on not going too deep on pullout and getting cadence going right away on first few strokes. Took 11 strokes on each. (Times were 18…18…18…18)
150 EZ warmdown, then 3 starts from the blocks.
Total Yardage: 2050
