10/12/04 Getting-Back-In Practice

This was the first time I’ve been in the water for a week, so I wanted to take it a little easy, and do a lot of kicking.

WARMUP: 500
With fins and fistgloves
200 Head-Lead Drill IM
200 Hand-Lead Drill IM
100, alternate 25 Free/25 Back

MAIN SET #1: 500
With fistgloves
2 X (25 UW Breast Kick + 25 Hand-Lead BR Kick on Back + 25 Hand-Lead BR Kick on Front + 25 Head-Lead BR Kick on Back + 25 Head-Lead BR Kick on Stomach)

Repeat above 250 kick with fistgloves and pull buoy.

MAIN SET #2: 1000
With fins. No gloves.
2 X 200 Hand-Lead Body Dolphin, taking one breath on first 25, two breaths on second 25, three breaths on third 25, etc.

Odd lengths: Breathe every 5-4-3-2 by 25
Even lengths: Breathe every stroke
