12/02/04 Breaststroke Pre-Meet Practice

WARMUP: 400
400 EZ, alternating back, free, and breaststroke kick.

KICK SET: 300 + 200
6 X 50 Breast kick with a kickboard on 1:15. My goal was to start easy, and descend my time until I was able to do one 50 under :45. I was hoping to do just 5 X 50, but I had to go 6 X 50 until I reached my goal. (Went 53…50…48…46…45…43) Started with 12 kicks per length on the first few, and was up to 14 kicks per length to get under 45.

SWIM SET: 200 + 200
4 X 50 Breast on 1:15. My goal was to descend until I swam at least one 50 under :40. I also limited my strokes to 8 per length on the first 50, 9 on the second 50, 10 on the third 50, and 11 on the final 50. (Went 43…42…40…39)

SPRINT SET: 100 + 100
4 X 25 Breast on :35. Just tried to focus on a fast, smooth kick to get my power. (Went 19…19…19…19)
