Right shoulder has been giving me problems all season (probably from painting a barn and raking leaves), so I’ve been trying to use it sparingly. Trying to do a lot of kicking in each practice.
WARMUP: 750
150 FL/BK/BR head-lead kick, then 100 EZ Backstroke
150 FL/BK/BR hand-lead kick, the 100 EZ BK/FR
250 EZ breast kick in all positions to get knees loosened up.
KICK SET: 250 + 250 EZ
5 X 50 Breast kick with a board on 1:30, with 7 rocket launchers before each 50. Descend [went 53…50…47…45…44]
250 EZ BK/FR as recovery
IM KICK SET: 500 + 50
5 X 100 on 2:30, done as:
25 Hand-lead dolphin kick on stomach
25 Hand-lead flutter kick on back (allowed one arm switch only)
25 Head-Lead breast kick on stomach
25 Freestyle
Do this as a descend set [went 2:10…2:05…2:00…1:55…1:53]
50 EZ recovery
BREASTSTROKE SET: 100
4 X 25 Breast on :30, focus on down dolphin on pullout and drawing up the feet. Held :20.
WARMDOWN: 100 EZ
