We’re thankful for many things, but nothing compares to being able to call Dave Denniston our friend. His character shows every day, and was proven by the news today, that he was voted the unanimous winner of "American Swimming Idol." We’re taking a little break this week, so there will be no new articles or drills. Spend this time with your family and friends, and be thankful for all you have, and your ability to spend time doing things you enjoy…like swimming. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Yep, it happens to the best of us (and me). The other day, I was giving some kids I work with a practice, and about half-way through, one looks up to me and says, “Are we doing this again?”
It’s the start of a new season, and you’re trying to decide what equipment your team will need. The options are endless: paddles, kickboards, fins, pull buoys, tethers, and even snorkels. The trouble is…budget.
So here’s the scenerio. You have an 8-year-old swimmer and, like most 8-year olds, he/she is pretty new to the sport (even 8-year olds who’ve been swimming for a while are NEW to the sport). You have a decision to make… which path to go down for their future?
