Swimming Set of the Week – April 16, 2010

This week’s set starts out mellow, then gets serious at the halfway point.

MAIN SET:  2200 yards/meters

400 pull, using extended breathing pattern on first 200

2 X 75 choice or FL/BK/BR…BK/BR/FR; easy pace

400 IM (kick/drill/kick/drill in each stroke); fins optional; also optional to do a straight 400 IM.

2 X 75 same as before but a little faster

400 pull, using extended breathing pattern on first 200; this one should be faster than the first 400 pull

2 X 75 same as before but even faster

400 IM (kick/drill/kick/drill in each stroke); fins optional; also optional to do a straight 400 IM.

2 X 75 same as before but all out and fastest of the day
