Those darn kids (again).
I have to admit, I got into this set, but then got more into watching a couple of the breaststrokers swim and tried to give them a couple things to think about. In other words… I didn’t do the entire thing. I’ll write it up though, because they did, and I don’t want credit for doing something I didn’t. However, as most of you know… if it comes down to MY swimming, or helping kids go faster… I’ll always opt for the latter.
4 x 50 breast on 1:00
2 x 100 breast on 1:45
1 x 200 breast on 3:00
Do this four times.
Obviously, as the distance gets longer, the speed gets greater. The 50’s are to be easy and smooth, thinking only about your technique. The 100’s start to build to a bit better pace, and the 200’s are much faster, just to make the interval.
It’s a very good set which allows time to think about how your swimming, and time to swim fast. I liked it (the part I did). 🙂
