Main Set Monday – President’s Day!

Today is President’s Day in the US, so we created a set that tests how well you can do two things at once:  think about swimming AND come up with an answer.

MAIN SET:  1600-1800
100s on 2:00-2:15
50s on 1:00-1:15

You’re playing the Alphabet Game today with US presidents.  Before each 100, the team (or the swimmers in one lane) has to come up with the name of a US president, in alphabetical order.  For example, before the first 100, the team must name a president whose last name begins with the letter "A."  Before the second 100, the team must name a president whose last name begins with "B."  Etc., all the way through the alphabet.  If the team comes up with a correct name, they swim or pull 100 freestyle.  If the team cannot come up with a correct name, they swim a 100 IM or stroke (not free).  If the team comes up with two or more correct names for a given letter, the 100 is reduced to a 50, choice.

NOTE:  There are 8 letters for which there is no "matching" president.  We allowed middle names and first names in those cases.

Coaches, here’s a list of presidents in alphabetical order.
