CCB Masters: Practice Breathing to Your Less-Comfortable Side

Warmup
10 minutes swim (your choice)

Main Sets
2 Rounds of the following (take 15 to 20 seconds rest between each 50):
2 X 50 swum as 25 Head-Lead Nose Up/Nose Down + 25 freestyle breathing to the same side on which you did the drill
2 X 50 swum as 25 Hand-Lead Nose Up/Nose Down + 25 freestyle breathing to the same side on which you did the dill
2 X 50 swum as 25 Head-Lead Side to Side (on your back) + 25 freestyle breathing every 3rd stroke

50 EZ recovery

2 Rounds of the following (take 15 to 20 seconds rest between each 50):
4 X 50 freestyle, breathing to your less comfortable side on the first 25 of each 50, then breathing to your comfortable side on the second 25 of each 50
2 X 50 freestyle, breathing every 3rd stroke

50 EZ recovery

5 X 50 freestyle, breathing every 3rd stroke on the first 25 of each 50, then breathing EVERY STROKE on the second 25 of each 50

Warmdown
4 X 25 silent freestyle, with 5 recovery “bobs” between each 25
