January 28, 2010 Morning Practice

Tired and cranky this morning.  Actually, still a bit under the weather, so just going was a bit of a challenge.  Gotta do it though. :)

500 warm-up
Just general smooth swimming this morning, working on pushing my shoulders up during the catch

10 x 25 kick on :25
Started with flutter, but had to switch to breaststroke to make the intervals.

The next set goes straight through, with the goal of the set to never go over a 1:10 / 100 pace, but swimming as easily as possible.  Kinda  like thinking you'd have to swim 10 miles without stopping.
3 x 250 on 3:45
3 x 150 on 2:15
3 x 100 on 1:30
3 x 50 on :45

10 x 25 kick on :25

10 x 75 on 1:05
Same goal as above, nothing slower than :52, but experimenting with effort level required based on variations to the stroke.

200 cool down
