Mixing in drills to regular training breaks up practice, and also keeps people focused.
Main Set (short course yards):
- 20 x 50 on :50
- odds 25 3 stage doggy dig - head up, head down, swim, followed by 25 free
- evens build freestyle to higher speed.
It's an easy set, but when done with thought, the doggy dig helps focus on the catch out front. Merging it into swimming helps to hang on to it. If you're not familiar with the drill, check it out here.
