Main Set Monday - Ball Catch

Home after the Olympics... time to get back to building awareness!

A pretty standard fun set using practice golf balls and demanding the swimmers use the rest of their arms better.  These cheap tools work wonders if the swimmer keep them in their hands long enough.

Main Set - short course yards:
 - 12 x 50 on :50 - 4 holding the balls in the hand with a fist - 4 holding the balls in the hand between the thumb and index finger - 4 swim.
 - 200 smooth swim with the balls held in the hand anyway the swimmer wants.
 - 12 x 50 on 1:00 - 4 sets of 3 50s.  #1 is smooth with the ball in the fist. #2 is build to a sprint with the ball in a fist.  #3 is fast with no ball.
 - 20 x 25 on :30 - 5 sets of 4 25s.  ALL ODDS ARE ALL OUT.  All evens are easy.  The first two in each set of 4 are with the balls in a fist.  The second two in each set of four are with hands (regular swimming).

The tighter you hold the ball in your hand, the better it feels when you release them and swim with open hands.  Be patient, and find out how to use you're entire arm... not just your hands.
