A nice main set this morning getting the heart rate up a bit, and then working some pace stroke.
Sometimes you need to be a bit tired to really get grooved into your pace, so some short rest 100's followed by 50's specialty at 200 pace.
Main Set (short course yards):
• 5 x 100 on 1:15
• 4 x 50 on :50 stroke at 3rd 50 of 200 pace
• 200 smooth loosen
(repeat the set 4 times)
A bit of advice... use the 200 to really get your energy back... especially if you're much older than the rest of the people you're swimming with. ;) Nobody can go as slow as I can on a 200 loosen.
