Here's a set with variations for the entire group. Simply put, here's how to keep a very varied group of swimmers all doing the same sendoff, and stay challeneged.
It's important to remember to take advantage of EASY when it's supposed to be EASY. That will allow you to go FAST when you're supposed to go FAST!
Main Set (short course yards):
Group 1 -
- 16 x 100's on 2:00
- #1 is 25 fast, 75 easy
- #2 is 50 fast, 50 easy
- #3 is all easy
- #4 is all FAST!
(Easy can be any stroke, FAST should be main stroke, if that's freestyle... cool!)
Group 2 -
- 16 x 75's on 2:00
- #1 is 25 fast, 50 easy
- #2 is 50 fast, 25 easy
- #3 is all easy
- #4 is all FAST
Group 3 -
- 16 x 50's on 2:00
- #1 is 25 fast, 25 easy
- #2 is 25 easy, 25 fast
- #3 is all easy
- #4 is all FAST
