Making sure you reach your specified distance off each turn is very important.  So important, we use noodles.

This main set seems pretty easy other than being long for an hour long practice.  The reality is, good push offs, and consistent push offs, start to add up in the workload the more consistent you are.  While reaching point "A" and the beginning of practice, reaching point "A" 45 minutes into the practice may be more difficult.  The noodles help keep swimmers consistent.

Main Set (short course yards):
 - 8 x 25 on :30
 - 8 x 50 on :45
 - 8 x 75 on 1:05
 - 8 x 100 on 1:20
 - 8 x 75 on 1:05
 - 8 x 50 on :45
 - 8 x 25 on :30

Coming back down the ladder should feel like a dream, and we're only placing the target at one end so our masters swimmers can sneak a little early exit if needed.  If they were kids, it would be a different story. :)
