FIFTIES! Ton's and ton's of 50's. I enjoy those actually. :)
After a nice warm-up, the theme of the morning was 50's.
Main Set (long course meters):
• 10 x 50 kick - 5 on 1:00 - 5 on :55
• 6 x 50 alternate drill / swim
• 10 x 50 swim - 5 on :45 - 5 on :40
• 6 x 50 alternate drill / swim
• 10 x 50's on :50 - alternate odds fast, evens smooth
• 6 x 50 alternate drill / swim
I just like that sometimes short swims are as effective as long swims... as long as you really pay attention to the details. If the coach gives you a set that isn't incredibly difficult from a sendoff perspective, you should immediately know that the technique aspect of your swimming should increase.
