Here's a set for Groundhog's Day that combines teamwork and a lot of underwater breath control.
To do the set, you will need one "groundhog hole" for each lane. A groundhog hole could be a hula hoop or a couple of noodles duct-taped together to form a hoop. Coach will need to throw a hoop into each lane before the start of each round, and collect the hoops before the swimmers do their streamline jumps or their intervals for that round.
MAIN SET:
Before the start of each round, designate one swimmer from your lane to be The Groundhog. All Groundhogs will push off together from their respective lanes. If all Groundhogs manage to pop through their "Groundhog Hole" simultaneously, there will be no more winter for that round, and everyone celebrates with 6 streamline jumps from the bottom of the pool (or streamline jumps with a dolphin kick). If Groundhogs emerge at different times, we have 6 more weeks of winter :(
Round #1
6 more weeks of winter = 6 X 25 free, maximum of 3 breaths (try for 2 breaths) on :35
Round #2
6 more weeks of winter = 6 X 50 kick on 1:15
Round #3
6 more weeks of winter = 6 X 75 FL/BK/BR...BK/BR/FR on 1:30
Round #4
6 more weeks of winter = 6 X 100 or 125, choice, on 1:45
Round #5
6 more weeks of winter = 6 X 75 FR/BR/FR...FR/BK/FR on 1:30
Round #6

Round #7
