Main Set Wednesday - Bilateral Breathing

Continuing to focus on freestyle breathing patterns this week.  Today we worked on bilateral breathing.

MAIN SET:  1950
Three times through the following.  Try to stay aerobic as you focus on your breathing pattern.  To add some spice and intensity to the workout, pick one or more of the different "tracks" (swim track, pull track, or IM track) and try to descend your times for that track.

1 X 300 swim; no equipment @ relaxed pace.  Breathe an equal amount to left and right, but it's your choice how to achieve this.  E.g., breathe every 3.  Or breathe to the right on one length (or 50) and to the left on the next length (or 50).  Or breathe every 2/ every 3.  Etc.

1 X 200 pull; odd lengths are "Position 11" freestyle; even lengths focus on extending front to back on every stroke.

1 X 100 IM with fins.  Try to take at least 3 underwater dolphin kicks off each wall before you start to swim.  Breath control!

1 X 50 kick of choice as recovery
