This week's offering is a fun but challenging IM set that gives you many opportunities to work on turns and finishes.
Your sendoff, distance, and stroke change constantly throughout the set. This will keep you slightly off balance, but it keeps things interesting and the set seems to carry you along from begining to end. It will be over before you know it... but beware! It's easy to lose track of where you are in this set, so pay attention or get a buddy to do it with you. The total distance is 1600 yards/meters.
Swim straight through the following, with no extra break between segments. Use a sendoff that gives you approximately 10 seconds rest after the 25s, 15 seconds after the 50s, 20 seconds on the 75s, and 25 to 30 seconds on the 100s. A good starting point to keep things simple is to use a 30-second base per 25.
