Our swimming set this week is a pace pyramid. This was the favorite set of the week for Barbara’s masters team, with 1:20, 1:40, and 2:00 the most popular sendoff/turnaround columns.
MAIN SET: 2000 yards or meters
Choose one of the sendoff/turnaround columns and work down.
GOAL: Maintain the same PACE, even as you increase distance. Plan accordingly and stay aerobic or at threshold pace (your pace from the One Hour Swim). No extra rest during the set. This is an excellent set for using a FINIS Tempo Trainer.
