Whenever we travel (as we did last week for the ASCA World Clinic), we enjoy the opportunity to work out with other coaches, swimmers, and teams. In San Diego, I had a chance (along with Steve Haufler and open-water expert Mike Collins) to join the University of California, San Diego Masters for a morning practice. Legendary coach Ron "Sickie" Marcikic welcomed us (in the dark) and gave us a great set. We did the set LCM in San Diego, and I shared it with my Vermont Masters swimmers in SCY this week. A bicoastal set! Thanks, Sickie, and enjoy the set.
